Currents restaurant at Black Rock Oceanfront Resort offers an artisan inspired culinary experience overlooking the majestic Pacific Ocean in Ucluelet, British Columbia. Currents is a 90 seat oceanfront restaurant that is open throughout the day and into the evening. Our culinary team prepares a full breakfast menu to tantalize your early morning taste buds. You can enjoy your selection in our luxurious indoor setting or on our beautiful patio overlooking the ocean (seasonal opening). Savour the best meal of the day as you sip your morning coffee with the waves dancing mere metres away.

Our lunch and evening menus offer a variety of fresh, seasonal and sustainable ingredients and all seafood is certified Ocean Wise sustainable. Pair your menu with a selection from our extensive wine list or a unique house-made cocktail while taking in the spectacular ocean views and West Coast vistas. Our menus are updated seasonally.

The word Currents is an oceanographic term referring to the continuous, predictable, directional movement of seawater driven by gravity, wind, and water density. Moving in two directions: horizontally and vertically. Horizontal movements of ocean water are referred to as currents, while vertical changes are called upwellings or downwellings
