Tofino Sea Kayaking has been operational since 1988 and is located in the historic Tofino Paddlers Inn at 320 Main Street. We can offer accommodations at the Inn, a wonderful coffee bar with breathtaking views of the inlet, a store to pick up a great book or gear, and a full range of kayaking experiences, including guided half-day and multi-day tours, Paddle Canada instructional courses, as well as kayak and gear rentals for the already experienced and trained adventurer.

Meares Trees & Shores Tour
Experience a unique opportunity to explore the awe-inspiring old-growth forest of Meares Island. Paddle your way along the islands shorelines to the massive cedars that stretch hundreds of feet into the air where you land for a walk through the wild winding, rustic “Big Tree Trail” of this unforgettable destination. To deepen your understanding of what makes this area so special, the guides shares thier knowledge of this complex and interconnected rainforest ecosystem, the history that has made the area known and the ongoing fight for protection of these ancient trees.
This tour is not to be missed! No Experience Required. We provide either doubles or single fiberglass kayaks, all kayaking gear,trained and certified guides. All tours start with an introduction to kayaks, gear and all you need to know to get out paddling on the water. You just need to bring water, a snack, layered clothing and an adventurous spirit.
Hidden Places Tour
Discover some of the lesser traveled routes and inlets in Clayoquot Sound. The towering mountains of Meares Island meet up with a myriad of life in the inter tidal zones during this exploratory day tour.
On your kayak journey we take time to enjoy the breathtaking scenery, rich intertidal life and incredibly productive bird habitat of the area. Our guides will stop to stretch legs, go for a walk in the forest and relax as we enjoy our lunch among the rich sights, smells and sounds of the area.
